Children at the Community Nursery School of Baldwin were taught the importance of fire safety and how to stop, drop and roll recently by members of the Baldwin Fire Department.

Children from the Community Nursery School of Baldwin recently got an interactive lesson from firefighters from the Baldwin Fire Department, who paid a visit to the kids to teach them about fire safety.
Each child got a chance to try on one of the firefighter’s fire hats, sit inside the fire truck and sound the siren.
Not only did the children get a hands-on learning experience, but the firefighters also taught the children how to react in a serious situation: do not fear the fire, but be sure to leave the building and stop, drop and roll if need be.
