Solemnity and service were the watchwords on Nov. 11, when members of the American Legion Past 246 joined for the annual Veterans Day observance.
This year, the vets were joined by youngsters from Baldwin Boy Scouts Troop 824, who assisted in the commemoration.
One Scout, Kyle Arnold, 16, created a fire pit outside the Hall for the vets to burn damaged and worn-out flags according to regulations. Kyle undertook the project as part of an effort to become an Eagle Scout.
