The police arrived at the scene shortly after a young boy was hit by a car at the intersection of Fargo Street and West Seaman Avenue in Baldwin on Friday afternoon.

A young boy was hit by a car as he was crossing over West Seaman Avenue from Fargo Street in Baldwin at approximately 3:15 p.m. on Friday, Nassau County police said.

The boy was rushed to an area hospital and is being treated for his injuries. His condition is not known at this time, police said.

The vehicle that struck the boy remained on the scene, officers said.
