Forgery investigation leads to arrest of Baldwin man

A Baldwin man was arrested for forgery on March 8 after filing a forged deed transfer for two Baldwin properties in 2012, police said.

According to Crimes Against Property detectives, on Nov. 19, 2012, Danny Noble Jr., 46, went to the Office of the Nassau County Clerk and filed a forged deed transfer for a property located on Lincoln Street in Baldwin. Noble Jr. also used a stolen Kings County notary stamp to process the above paperwork.

On Dec. 12, 2012, police said, Noble Jr. filed a second forged deed transfer of ownership with the Nassau County Clerks Office for a property located on Jay Way in Baldwin. He also used a stolen notary stamp reported missing in October of 2011.

On March 8, 2015, the Freeport Detective Division arrested Noble Jr. without incident after a lengthy investigation. Noble Jr. is being charged with four counts second-degree possession of a forged instrument and four counts of first-degree offering a false instrument for filing and second-degree forgery. He was arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on March 10.
