No shortage of AP Scholars at BHS

There were 112 students at Baldwin High School who earned AP Scholar Awards in recognition of their exceptional achievement on Advanced Placement Exams taken in 2014. AP classes are rigorous college-level courses that, depending on the scores on the AP exams, earn the students college credit, advanced placement in college, or both. Of the 112 Baldwin students, 45 were sophomores or juniors who have at least one more year in which to possibly earn a higher-level AP Scholar Award.

Four BHS students qualified for the National AP Scholar Award by earning an average score of 4 or higher on a five-point scale on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams:

Richard Henry, Bryan Saggese, Keyan Vakil, and Vikram Vishwanath.

Twenty-six students qualified for the AP Scholar with Distinction Award by earning an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams:

Matthew Barba, Evan Barnett, Natalia Barr, Stephanie Cando, Valerie Conforti, Henry Drew, Shenyece Ferguson, Adam Hartman, Richard Henry, Matthew Hines, Anish Jain, Tyler King, Tevin Lynch, Connor Mack, Wendy Markert, Chelsea McGowen, Jonathan Mootoo, Savannah Nester, Wesley Pennycooke, Bryan Saggese, Dylan Sammis, Meron Sebhatu, Noel Smith, Keyan Vakil, Vikram Vishwanath, and Vineet Vishwanath.

Twenty-nine students qualified for the AP Scholar with Honor Award by earning an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams:
