Police: Hempstead man caught with fake cash, credit cards

A Hempstead man has been arrested for using counterfeit credit cards, cash, and a fake license during a routine traffic stop in Baldwin on May 28 at 2:23 p.m.

According to detectives, police officers were conducting traffic checks on Maude Street and Central Avenue and found that Kevin Patrick, 38, was in possession of three fraudulent credit cards, a fraudulent North Carolina Driver License and 27 twenty-dollar counterfeit bills. Upon further investigation, police found that Patrick’s New York state license had been revoked and he has a restriction for an Interlock device.

Patrick is charged with six counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument and various other traffic violations. He was arraigned in First District Court on Sunday.
