Police search for burglar

Crime Stoppers and the Nassau County Police Department are seeking the public’s help with identifying a subject wanted in connection with a residential burglary in Baldwin.

On Sunday July 20 at approximately 7:25 a.m., the subject unlawfully entered an occupied residential home on School Street in Baldwin through an unlocked window. The subject stole an Apple laptop computer, and fled the scene on a bicycle. The subject dropped the laptop when confronted by a good Samaritan, and continued west on Maude Street toward Hempstead.

He is described as a black male, between the ages of 20 and 29, thin build, and was wearing a baseball hat and shorts at the time of the burglary.

Crime Stoppers is asking anyone who knows the identity of the subject, or anyone with any information about this case to call its toll free hotline at 1-800-244-8477. There is up to a $5,000 reward for people who provide tips and callers can remain anonymous.
