All lanes of Sunrise Highway in Baldwin have been reopened after a jackknifed tractor-trailer rig forced the closure of the road in Baldwin this morning, authorities said. No injuries were reported.

A spokeswoman for the Nassau County Police Department said authorities had to work to clean up an oil spill.

According to the state Transportation Department, Sunrise Highway (NY 27) eastbound was closed at Chestnut and Concord Streets and Brooklyn Avenue because of the 6:52 a.m. accident.
