10. Valerie Achille
Valerie is an AP Scholar, NYSSMA All-State solo performer, and member of the National, English, French, Social Studies, and TriM honor societies. She has been president and secretary of the Medical Explorers Club, attended George Washington University’s “A Day in the Life of a Medical Student” program, and entered the Explora Science Competition with her invention of a sign language translation glove. She was also a member of SADD, Youth for Political Awareness, Chamber Orchestra, Golden Wave, and Phoenix Magazine. Valerie will be attending Brandeis University.

9. Dylan Sammis
Dylan is an AP Scholar with Distinction, NYSSMA All-State solo performer, and member of the National, English, Italian, Math, Science, Social Studies and TriM Honor Societies. Dylan has participated in the Long Island Youth Orchestra, Pit Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, and the Molloy College Community Orchestra. He was also a member of Key Club and worked long hours helping to rebuild after Superstorm Sandy. Dylan will be attending the CUNY City College Honors Program.

8. Michele Messina
Michele is an AP Scholar, President’s Scholarship winner, and a member of the National, Italian, Math, Science and Social Studies Honor Societies. Michele was accepted into Georgetown University’s Forensic Science Institute where she participated in hands-on crime scene analysis. She was treasurer for Wind Symphony, member of the Pep and Jazz Bands and on the varsity volleyball and softball teams. She was also involved in S.P.L.A.S.H. and Relay For Life. Michele will be attending SUNY Binghamton.
