The 32nd annual Rock Hall Country Fair had historians dressed in the clothes of the day who showed how colonial-era tools were used, harvest market, craft vendors, farm animal, pony rides a children’s craft area, a pumpkin patch where pumpkins can be painted, a make a scarecrow area, antique cars, food for purchase and a vaudeville show that performed a total of six times as part of the two-day event on Oct. 21 and 22.

Built in the 18th century, Rock Hall was at one time a 600-acre working farm and is now a 3-acre museum owned and operated by the Town of Hempstead, at 199 Broadway in Lawrence. It was once to the Martin family, the initial owners, then the original Hewlett family.
