BCA recruits able bodies

The Baldwin Civic Association sent the following message to its members in the wake of the storm:

Dear BCA Members,
Superstorm Sandy has left a devastating mark on the east coast this past week. In Baldwin specifically, the town has seen its worst flooding in decades, destroying homes, cars, boats, and personal property. High winds in the vicinity of 90 miles per hour have knocked down hundreds of trees, branches, and power lines from North Baldwin all the way down to Bay Colony. There is no doubt that the Baldwin community has suffered from the effects of Sandy.  As a result, The Baldwin Civic Association is currently looking to help Baldwin residents who have been affected.

If you or someone you know is in need of food, clothing, shelter, or resources for repairing their home, please contact the Baldwin Civic Association. We may then be able to provide assistance or referral information. In addition, the BCA is looking to compile a list of service providers to help those affected by the storm. For example, if you or someone you know is a plumber, electrician, contractor, roofer, or other professional that is able to help repair Baldwin homes, please let us know.  If you do not need assistance, but are willing to volunteer your time or resources, contact us as well. In the coming days you will be receiving more information on how you can donate money for disaster relief in Baldwin.
