St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School in Bellmore is celebrating its 20th year anniversary, and to commemorate the milestone, alumni and faculty gathered for a gala at the Coral House in Baldwin. As a regional School, St. Elizabeth takes in students from Bellmore, Merrick, East Meadow and Wantagh, and services parishioners of four parishes — St. Raphael’s in East Meadow, St. Barnabas in Bellmore, Cure of Ars in Merrick and St. Frances de Chantal in Wantagh. more
Bellmore children flooded St. Barnabas Roman Catholic Church Sunday for the parish’s annual Christmas Pageant. At this long-time tradition, children took on the roles of the Christmas story and acted it out for parents, neighbors and friends. Attendees were treated to the tale of Mary and Joseph as they sought for a place to shelter their newborn son, Jesus. They were also treated to songs by a choir of angels. more
To mark the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, the Bellmore and North Bellmore fire departments joined together to remember those who were lost. More than 100 firefighters gathered with the community at St. Barnabas Roman Catholic Church in Bellmore to pray for those lost and their families. more
