2 killed, 3 injured in crash on Southern State in North Merrick

Two people were killed and three critically injured when a car overturned and slammed into a wooded area off the Southern State Parkway, near the Meadowbrook Parkway, in North Merrick on Jan. 27 around 6:30 a.m.

At press time, there was no word from authorities on the victims' identities. The three injured in the crash were rushed by ambulance to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow.
