The Bellmore Fire Department held its Sept. 11 memorial service on Sunday, marking the 15th year since the deadly terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.
The memorial began with a Mass of Remembrance at St. Barnabas the Apostle Church, honoring the civilians and first responders who lost their lives on that day.
The service continued at the Bellmore Firehouse with more dedications and a wreath-laying ceremony. In addition to local visitors and town residents, members of the Bellmore Fire Department were also in attendance, including the Ladies Auxiliary, the Juniors Squad and the color guard.
