Grand Avenue eighth-graders movin’ on up

Posted

Grand Avenue Middle School eighth-graders celebrated two years of study and discussed their futures in high school at their Moving-Up Day.

Students said their final goodbyes to Grand Avenue at one of four ceremonies on June 7. Each program featured student speakers and performances by the school choir.

Now Grand Avenue graduates have summer vacation to prepare for high school. Students living in North Bellmore will attend Wellington C. Mepham High School, while those who live to the south will go to John F. Kennedy High School.
