N. Bellmore convenience store held up at gunpoint

The Quick Stop Smoke Shop in North Bellmore was held up at gunpoint on Wednesday, March 30, at 6:07 p.m., according to Nassau County police.

Detectives described the perpetrator as a white male, wearing a black hooded shirt, black jeans, and a white mask and gloves.

Brandishing a black handgun, he slipped behind the convenience store’s counter and demanded cash from the manager, who gave him an undisclosed amount. The man then ran off on Harrison Avenue.

A customer who was in the store at the time was uninjured.
