Police seek N. Bellmore robbery suspect

Nassau County police are investigating a June 1 robbery at a North Bellmore gas station.

The crime occurred at about 9 p.m. on Monday at the Road Ready Gas Station, at 2786 North Jerusalem Road. Police said an unknown man entered the station and pointed a black handgun at a store clerk while demanding money.

The clerk handed over the money to the suspect, who police said ran off southbound on Bellmore Road. There were no injuries reported.

The suspect was described as muscular, with a mask, dark jeans, gray sweatshirt, red baseball cap with a black brim and “P” on the front, and blue surgical gloves, according to investigators.
