Virtuoso pianist to perform with the Merrick Symphony on Oct. 28

The Merrick Symphony Chamber Orchestra will present a concert on Oct. 28 at 2:30 p.m. at the Freeport Memorial Library at 144 West Merrick Road in Freeport. The featured pianist will be Susan Sobolewsky, who will perform Quintet in C minor, Opus 1, written for piano and strings by Ernst Dohnanyi.

Sobolewsky has appeared with the Orchestra of St. Luke and performed at the Caramoor Music Festival, Carnegie Hall and on Broadway. The concert is free, but donations to the Merrick Symphony can be sent to P.O. Box 125, Merrick. The event was made possible by public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts and administered by the Huntington Arts Council. Additional support was provided by the Kiwanis Club of Merrick, supporters of the Merrick Symphony and the Freeport Memorial Library.
