The Bowling Green K-Kids hosted its 6th annual talent show last Friday at W.T. Clarke High School to benefit the Eliminate Project, UNICEF’s global campaign in partnership with Kiwanis International, which aims to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus worldwide. The group raised a cumulative total of $11,500.

Community members and students and faculty from Bowling Green Elementary gathered in front of the school on Sept. 20 to honor the memory of Harlie Treanor, a recent graduate who lost her life, along with two other children, when a boat capsized on Fourth of July.

Bowling Green K-Kids were recognized for their national and international accomplishments at a East Meadow Kiwanis meeting on Aug. 30. The club, that earned first and second place in eight of nine K-Kids international contests this year, is the winningest K-Kids Club both nationally and internationally.
