A trip into history at Barnum Woods

Students dress as famous Americans

Posted

A recent visit to Barnum Woods Elementary School might have caused you to stumble across George Washington, Amelia Earhart, Abraham Lincoln or Thomas Edison. Or all four.

The reason is because the school conducted its annual unit on famous American figures. Students were asked to research iconic, historical Americans, and dress as them while visiting other classes to explain to fellow students the significance of their choice.

The lesson provided an interactive, fun way for students to learn about American history.
