The Barnum Woods PTA hosted its fourth annual Father’s Day family bowling night at the East Meadow AMF Lanes on Front Street last Friday.

Approximately 275 community members, comprising Barnum students and their family members, packed 48 lanes in the bowling alley. The PTA arranges the event with the bowling alley’s general manager, Andrew Ghirardi.

The night included two hours of unlimited bowling, dinner and raffles, with many of the prizes donated by local merchants.

Most important, the evening was full of bonding between fathers, sons, daughters, and uncles, as local families kicked off Father’s Day weekend in grand fashion.

“We packed the place,” said Todd Weinstein, event co-organizer and Barnum Woods PTA member. “The kids had a blast. The fathers had a lot fun. It’s a good family fun event that the Barnum Woods PTA provides to students and their families.”
