East Meadow graduates take the next step

Principal Richard Howard spoke last, praising the seniors for a successful year. “This high school produces the greatest kids in the world.” Howard said. “This is a special place, and what makes it special are all the people who live and work here. I will remember you all for the young adults you have become, and you can always call this home.”

Howard recalled moments that reflected East Meadow students’ dedication to their community, including their efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy and their deliveries of food to Rosemary Kennedy School in Wantagh days before Thanksgiving.
The seniors then walked single-file to receive their diplomas, and returned to their seats as high school graduates.
