Join the Preservation Hall Jazz Band as they celebrate the season with their popular holiday presentation, “Creole Christmas.” An annual must-see production for families since 2005, 2012 marks the ninth year that this venerable group has taken their infections holiday spirit on the road. Hear many timeless favorites, performed with the band’s special flair, including “Blue Christmas,” “Swinging in a Winter Wonderland,” “Bells Will Be Ringin’,” and “The Dreydel Song.”

All ages are sure to catch the irresistible vibe of the innovative children’s musical group Hot Peas ‘N Butter when they bring their mellow multicultural groove to the Madison Theatre. New York City-based musicians Danny Lapidus and Francisco Cotto – the duo behind this appealing group – pump out tunes that make kids (and their parents) want to get up and dance, Join in the fun and you’ll see what makes this Nickelodeon and Noggin TV favorite so popular.

Holiday Bird Watching
Take some time out to refresh and recharge with a relaxing visit to Muttontown Preserve. Observe some of our feathered friends – including woodpeckers, hawks, Nuthatches, and Brown Creepers – who make Long Island their home during the winter on special guided hike through the preserve’s many acres.
