Jets pride overcomes East Meadow

East Meadow students marched the streets of their community last Saturday in celebration of school spirit.

With decorative class floats, the school’s marching band and cheerleading and kickline teams leading the way, it could only mean one thing —the school’s 2015 Homecoming parade had arrived.

This year’s theme revolved around tourist attractions — the senior float was designed to look like the circus, juniors featured Walt Disney, sophomores highlighted Broadway and freshman donned animal costumes to make their float resemble a circus.

The Homecoming Court were also a big part of the procession, led by King Caleb Blaise and Queen Victoria Bova.

Following the march from Veterans Memorial Park to East Meadow High School, the students, faculty, and other supporters from the community watched the Jets defeat Baldwin High School, 20-13.

Indeed, it was very much a day of Jets’ pride in East Meadow.
