An East Meadow man was arrested on Feb. 9 after police say he broke into Dairy Barn on Jerusalem Avenue last month, damaged computers and alarms, and left with cash.

Nassau County police say Johnny Esposito, 38, of Bernice Drive, entered the Dairy Barn on 2805 North Jerusalem Road on Jan. 29 at 10 p.m. by smashing a glass window. Inside, he allegedly damaged the store’s computer software system, alarm system and other merchandise. He exited the store with multiple cartons of cigarettes, police said, and an undisclosed amount of cash.

An investigation led police to arrest Esposito at his home. He is charged with third degree burglary, second degree criminal mischief, and was scheduled to be arraigned on Feb. 10.
