Pride Day set for June 6

Pride Day is just around the corner.

On Saturday, June 6, residents are invited to Speno Park, at 745 East Meadow Avenue, to participate in the 24th annual East Meadow Community Pride Day. The event, sponsored by the East Meadow community, is hosted by the East Meadow Kiwanis Club.

This year’s festivities, which is free to attend from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., will feature a health fair, art show, games for kids, a giant slide, a Velcro Olympics, demonstrations, sports, refreshments, face painting, live music and more.

The event chairpersons are Alan Beinhacker, Ellen DeRosa and Liz Fries of the Kiwanis Club.
