History of American Rock ‘n Roll
The beat goes on at the Madison Theatre when some chart-topping original rock ‘n rollers get together for an evening of memorable music. The Duprees, with their doo-wop-big band sound, the soul vocal quintet The Tymes; and the always-mesmerizing Barbara Harris, with The Toys, join forces with lively renditions of their top hits. This lively concert celebrates those heady days of doo-wop, rock ‘n roll and R&B during a fast-paced musical trip down memory lane. From the classic “You Belong to Me” to “So Much in Love” and “A Lover’s Concerto,” it’s an evening of iconic tunes that will have everyone singing along.
