Taxes and financial planning ultimately affect each other. But often, the information you need to link the two together exists from different resources and professionals. Depending on skill sets, a tax preparer might defer you to a financial adviser for investment advice. Or, if you have a tax-related question, your financial adviser might suggest asking your accountant. Araneo Tax & Financial is unique in that all expertise is available in one place.

With offices in Howard Beach, Queens, since 2000, Araneo Tax & Financial recently opened a location in Lynbrook, to cater to their Long Island clientele. Focus is kept on the financial needs and issues of middle class individuals and families, making sure to protect their assets. While they will work with a single member LLC, and a Schedule C for a small business, they do not get involved with corporate accounting. This allows them to focus solely on the important financial planning needs of their clients.

With tax season in progress, concerns about IRAs, investments and tax implications can be timely. Both Joseph and Steve Araneo are registered investment advisors and can skillfully deal with any issue that comes up. They can review tax returns as well as investments. Joseph Araneo, CPA, is a certified public accountant, and Steve Araneo, CFP, a certified financial planner. They have been preparing taxes and providing financial advice for more than 25 years. In the Lynbrook office is also Bettina Johnson, a licensed investment representative who can provide advice on Social Security and family asset protection.

In addition to tax preparation – which is basically done over an 11-week stretch – Araneo Tax & Financial helps with financial needs at any other time. Services include insurance planning, such as long term care, life and disability coverages, investment and portfolio review, pension and profit sharing plans, and retirement planning.

Members of the new Lynbrook office are all local residents. The company looks forward to getting involved with the community. They are a member of the Lynbrook Chamber of Commerce, and the recently established local branch of the Kiwanis Club. They will also be a sponsor of a team in the Little League.
