Third Street project to be completed this month
New pavement, curbs, driveway aprons being installed
A Town of Hempstead road improvement project that began in July on a portion of Third Street is expected to be completed within a couple of weeks, according to town officials.
Work on the street is being done between the intersections of Hempstead Turnpike and Franklin Avenue.
The project includes the construction of new curbs, driveway aprons, installation of pedestrian access ramps at all intersections, new asphalt pavement and the restoration of disturbed grass areas.
Construction is being performed by Richard W. Grim, Inc.
