Three cheerleading teams from East Meadow’s Veterans Memorial Park participated in the Town of Hempstead’s annual Cheerleading and Kickline Exhibition at Hofstra University on Aug. 5.

Participants included girls from the Mascots (ages 5 to 7), the Juniors (ages 8 to 11) and Seniors (ages 12 to 16.) The teams practiced all summer led by coaches Katelyn Radtke, a 2014 graduate of East Meadow High School, and Taylor Gross, a rising senior at East Meadow High.

Only the Senior girls competed in this year’s tournament, and finished in third place.
