An undercover operation in Bellmore on Friday resulted in the arrest of two Woodhaven residents for selling heroin.

According to Nassau County police, narcotics vice squad detectives were investigating Anthony Ingenito, 68, of East Meadow, for allegedly selling heroin that led to a non-fatal overdose in February, when they were able to learn more about his suppliers.

After arresting Ingenito on Friday and seizing 500 bags of heroin from him, police said, detectives conducted a “buy operation” in Bellmore the same day based on information they determined while investigating Ingenito. Arrested were Julius Perez, 33, and Sahily Lapaz, 29, of the same address in Woodhaven.

Ingenito was charged with second-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, five counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, five counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree conspiracy.

Perez was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession. Lapaz was charged with third-degree criminal sale.

All three were arraigned Saturday in Hempstead First District Court, according to police.
