A thank you letter to the residents of East Meadow

Posted

Thank you East Meadow residents for allowing me to volunteer twenty-four years with the school district. It has been an honor and privilege. I volunteered for nine years with the Financial Advisory Committee and fifteen years as a trustee on the Board of Education. The strides we reached as a community with the great staff and the different trustees I served with are remarkable. The greatest part of my tenure with school district is the great people I met on my journey. There are many people who I met who I considered lifetime friends and I am glad I have them in my life. Many I have learned from. On the other hand, I am glad to say there are only a very few people who I have met, all I can say is "oh brother!"

The East Meadow School District is in a good place with a great superintendent, central administrators and building administrators. They are good leaders and I know they are ready to reach the next great stride no other districts have ever seen before. After seeing our children in action over the many years, I know our children will help lead the way.

Sincerely

Brian O’Flaherty
