Police: Three cars vandalized with racial slurs in East Meadow

Three cars in East Meadow were vandalized with racial slurs overnight on Saturday, and Nassau County Police are now investigating the matter as a bias incident, according to police.

The cars, which were found on Sunday morning at 9 a.m., were littered with black spray painted racial slurs, according to reports. The first car, a 1999 Toyota, found with racial slurs was parked on 6th Avenue; a second car, a 2017 Subaru was parked on Roosevelt Avenue and the third, a 1996 Chevrolet, was parked on 7th Street.

A spokesman for the police department did not confirm the nature of the racial slurs, but urged anyone with information to contact 1 (800) 244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous. The crime is still under investigation.
