Three cars in East Meadow were vandalized with racial slurs overnight on Saturday, and Nassau County Police are now investigating the matter as a bias incident, according to police.
The cars, which were found on Sunday morning at 9 a.m., were littered with black spray painted racial slurs, according to reports. The first car, a 1999 Toyota, found with racial slurs was parked on 6th Avenue; a second car, a 2017 Subaru was parked on Roosevelt Avenue and the third, a 1996 Chevrolet, was parked on 7th Street.
A spokesman for the police department did not confirm the nature of the racial slurs, but urged anyone with information to contact 1 (800) 244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous. The crime is still under investigation.
