Motorcycle fundraiser for Luis Mendez

Miller’s Ale House in Levittown and the Disciples of Law LEMC will be holding a motorcycle for Luis Mendez, a local child living with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma. Kick stands up is at 10:15 a.m. and registration is $25 per motorcycle and $5 for additional passenger.

16th annual Culinary Delights

The East Meadow Chamber of Commerce will host its 16th Culinary Delights to raise money for local charitable organizations. Each year, 25 to 30 local restaurants — and others from across Long Island — offer portions of their best dishes and desserts for attendees to taste. For the fourth straight year, Basmajian and Lyndsey Gallagher are co-chairing the event, which will take place on Sept. 24, at 6 p.m., at the Carltun in East Meadow’s Eisenhower Park.

Laughs at the Library

The East Meadow Public Library will be holding a comedy night with its residential comedian Mark Brier on Sept. 24 at 1 p.m. All are welcome to take to the stage and tell jokes or sit back and enjoy.
