Red, White and Blues Band at Eisenhower Park

Just a week before its annual fireworks spectacular, Eisenhower Park in East Meadow will welcome the Red, White and Blues Band for an all-American night of music. The local group first got together in 2005, molding together decades of musical experience. Vocalist Ric Zivic leads the way, Eddy Wenzel plucks away on the bass, Steven Greenbaum on blues harp, Ted Wender on keyboards and brothers Greg and Frank Delape are on the guitar and drums, respectively. The band is driven by a tight, bluesy sound, with Greg Delape in lead guitar duties. Come to the Palm Court at The Carltun on June 21 for a 6 p.m. concert.

East Meadow Varsity Cheerleading summer clinic

Join the East Meadow High School Varsity Cheerleading squad for a fun-filled day of stunting, jumping and cheering. The cheerleaders welcome boys and girls in Kindergarten through eighth grade who are interested in cheerleading. The event goes from 9 a.m. to one p.m. on June 22 at the Woodland Middle School gym and there will be a performance for parents at 12:45 p.m. Registration is $35 and attendees are asked to bring a snack and water bottle, remove any jewelry prior to the event, no gum-chewing and secure long hair in a ponytail. The squad looks forward to meeting you!

The Carltun Cocktails and Food Festival

Start your summer with over 100 cocktails paired with international cuisine and music at the Carltun’s Cocktail and Food Festival on June 24 starting at 6 p.m. bring friends and enjoy the East Coast Band, vote for the best cocktail and have a fun evening, rain or shine/ The Carltun has a lavish outdoor patio if weather permits. Tickets are $60 for those who are drinking and $40 for designated drivers.
