Classic Pop Culture Series: March of the Wooden Soldiers(1934)

The East Meadow Public Library is hosting its Classic Pop Culture Series with Laurel and Hardy’s March of the Wooden Soldiers (1934). Keith Crocker will be presenting this at the East Meadow Fire Department Benevolent Hall on Nov. 15 at 1 p.m. Opposing the evil Barnaby, Ollie Dee and Stanley Dum try and fail to pay-off Mother Peep's mortgage, and mislead his attempts to marry Little Bo. Enraged, Barnaby's Bogeymen are set on Toyland. Keith will cover the history behind this historic movie and the relationship between Stan Laurel and Hall Roach. Rated: Passed. Running time: 1 hr. 17 min.

A special live performance from Veronica singing her club anthems "Release Me" and "Someone To Hold" at Louie DeVito's N.Y.C. Underground Party at Aura nightclub in East Meadow. Our Children and Vaping Part II

The forum “Our Children and Vaping Part II” will tackle the issue and address parents’ concerns on Nov. 18 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the East Meadow Fire Department Headquarters at 197 East Meadow Avenue in East Meadow. The event is being hosted by the Council of East Meadow Community Organizations, the East Meadow PTA Council and the Nassau County Police Department. Speaking at the event will be Yolanda Turner, of the Office of Community Affairs for the Nassau County Police Department.
