Young Adult Apple Pie Workshop

Learn how to make a homemade apple pie with your friends, just in time for the holidays, at this East Meadow Public Library program on Thursday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. Students will learn how to make the dough and cut fresh apples for a yummy apple pie. This program will take place at Senator Speno Memorial Park in East Meadow.

Thanksgiving at NUMC

The Long Island Friends of People With AIDS in conjunction with Nassau University Medical Center joyously announce its 31st Annual Thanksgiving Dinner

Celebration Visit on Sunday, Nov. 24. They will be visiting people with HIV/AIDS and other patients on from 3:00 pm to 5:30 p.m. at Nassau University Medical Center. The purpose of this event is to be with and bring cheer to patients and to raise the awareness of the AIDS crisis. There will be a complimentary Thanksgiving dinner for all participants. Long Island Writers’ Guild

Want to write? Already write, but need some input? Thinking of creating a memoir? Have a sitcom in your head? The Long Island Writers’ Guild is an encouraging, nurturing environment to help you write. They usually meet at the East Meadow Public Library, but since the building is under construction, they will be meeting on Nov. 26 at 1 p.m. at Samanea, the former Westbury Source Mall, at 1504 Old Country Road in Westbury.
