The Village of East Rockaway, along with its Recreation Department, hosted its annual Easter Egg Hunt on Sat., Apr. 3. Children of all ages searched for eggs, traded them in for a bag of goodies, and met the Easter Bunny at James Street Complex in Bay Park. more
The Island Park Theatre Group, in conjunction with the Island Park Union Free School Recreation Department, presented “On Broadway - A Musical Revue” last weekend. A cast of 70 locals actors, dancers and singers entertained the audience at the Lincoln Orens Middle School in Island Park - and the IPTG broke records with its ticket sales. more
The seniors at East Rockaway High School earned the coveted Cup last weekend during the school's 74th annual Rock Rivalry competition. Points were tallied and included Sports Night, Entrance, mural, backdrop, scriptwriting, choreography, band, lighting, sound, etc. The seniors' score tied for one other class in the history of RR for having the most points in its 74-year history. All of the classes did wonderfully, with entertaining and orginal skits and songs. more
