Best of Broadway
Adelphi University’s Department of Music offers a tribute to New York panache in, “Tales of New York,” the latest edition of its popular Best of Broadway series. The revue, directed by Michael Hume with pianist Adrienne Borbely, features vocal and theater students performing some of Broadway’s great hits. The cast, in solo performances, duets and ensembles, salutes the songs that were inspired by the heart and soul of the Big Apple itself. Cohan, Rodgers and Hart, Frank Loesser, Leonard Bernstein, Stephen Sondheim, Bock and Harnick, Burt Bacharach, and Jonathan Larson.
