A group of Junior High students enjoyed their Italian ices.
Bye-bye Baldwin, hello East Rockaway

East Rockaway High SChool Students waved goodbye to very early morning wake-ups and buses, and hello to their own local school.

An idea that started with resident MaryKate Lynch turned into reality last Friday as the entire East Rockaway High School student body assembled for some fun in the sun at the Bay Park Pavillion for a “Last Day of (Baldwin) School BBQ.”

“Today was a tremendous success,” said Lynch. “It was an amazing group effort with so many wonderful people, without whom, this event could have never become a reality.”

The students ate delicious barbecue food, Italian Ices, Mo’s Southwest Grill and just relaxed. They returned back to their own high school on Monday.

This free event was sponsored in part by the Coalition for Youth in East Rockaway and the Kiwanis Club.
