Mike Hawxhurst
Current position: Village Trustee
Career: Executive director, regional portfolio manager at Morgan Stanley.
Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting from SUNY Albany; Masters Degree in Taxation from St. John’s University.

    A Lynbrook resident since 1995, Mike Hawxhurst is a member of the Citizen’s Budget Committee, Lynbrook School Board Building Utilization Committee, Winter Celebration Committee, and the Lynbrook Village Summer Swim Team. He is also a member of St. Mary’s Council of Knights of Columbus and Our Lady of Peace Parish. He has been involved in the planning of the Annual Lynbrook Expo and Lynbrook Summer Celebration and served as an assistant for Lynbrook Titans Lacrosse and St. Raymond’s CYO Swim Team. He is an active member of the New York State Society of CPA’s, American Institute of CPA’s, and Institute of Internal Auditors Securities Industry Association Internal Auditors Division. He has two children, Hannah and Sarah.
    As trustee, is liaison to the village’s Building Department, Municipal Utility, and Northeast Quadrant.

Bill McLaughlin
Position: Village Justice
Education: St. John’s Law School, J.D., 1983
Career: Practicing attorney with offices on Hempstead Avenue in Lynbrook since 1996.

    Bill McLaughlin is a lifelong Lynbrook resident. He was a member of the New York Fire Department for 24 years, and is a former trustee on the FDNY’s board and a former Pension Fund & UFA executive board member. He is also a member and a warden of the Lynbrook Fire Department since 1970. He was appointed Village Justice in 1997. McLaughlin and his wife, Marianne, have been married for 36 years. They have four
Children and three grandchildren.
