Lastly, they say, “Our root problem isn’t poor standards, but bad political incentives. The groups with the most at stake in the educational system will be most motivated to be involved in the politics, and those are the professional education associations, education schools, state and federal bureaucrats and other interests whose livelihoods derives [from education change].”

The hyperbole about Common Core coming from the state and the feds is just that. Let’s wait and see whether or not this education miracle turns out to be another new math or holistic writing.
