Crime Watch: East Rockaway, Lynbrook

On March 18 at 3:45 p.m., a 34-year-old of Lynbrook was arrested and charged with assault on Broadway in Lynbrook.
 At 3:10 p.m. on March 19, s 39-year-old  Malverne woman was arrested and charged with unauthorized practice at 10 Union Ave., Suite 7, in Lynbrook. The defendant, while employed as a massage therapist at Water and Body Treatment Day Spa, performed a massage without being licensed by the State of New York.
A 28-year-old Valley Stream man was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property, unlawful possession of marijuana, aggravated unlicensed operation and no license plate light on Horton Road in Lynbrook on March 19 at 9:30 p.m. The defendant was also charged with an open warrant for failed to stop at a stop sign, fail to signal a turn and unlicensed operation.
On March 20 at 1:20 a.m., a 27-year-old Freeport man was arrested and charged with three counts of aggravated unlicensed operation on Union Avenue in Lynbrook.
At 8 a.m. on March 21, a 25-year-old of Lynbrook was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct on Starks Place in Lynbrook.
A 19-year-old Roosevelt man was arrested and charged with assault on Merrick Road in Lynbrook on March 22 at 10:35 p.m.
At 9:13 p.m. on March 23, a 40-year-old East Rockaway woman was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated at the corner of Rhame Avenue and Dart Street in On March 24 at 8:20 a.m., a 55-year-old Brooklyn man was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and failure to signal turn on Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook.

Criminal possession of a forged instrument

At 2:20 p.m. on March 18, a complainant, the manager of Quizno’s located at 2 Broadway, Lynbrook, reported that a male subject entered the store and made a purchase with a counterfeit five dollar bill.
Larceny
On March 23 between 12:01 and 8 a.m., an unknown suspect(s) stole USC out of an unlocked vehicle, which was parked in a driveway on Benton Avenue in East Rockaway.
Between March 22 at 10:30 p.m. and March 23 at noon, an unknown suspect(s) stole a wallet with credit cards and personal papers out of an unlocked vehicle, which was parked in on Alexine Avenue in East Rockaway.

Grand larceny
On March 20 at 8 a.m., a complainant, the owner of Santis Landscaping, reported that an unknown person(s) broke the lock of their trailer which was parked at 440 Sunrise Hwy., Lynbrook, and removed several pieces of landscaping equipment. The equipment, a Lawnboy lawnmower, three Redmax trimmers and a Redmax leaf blower, has a combined value of $2,500.
On March 25 at 8:30 a.m., a complainant reported that an unknown person(s) removed four tires and rims from their 2010 Nissan Maxima, which was parked in parking field #15 in Lynbrook. The value of the tires and rims is $3,000.
At 11:55 a.m. on March 25, a complainant reported that an unknown person(s) did remove their 1998 Nissan Maxima, which was parked in the driveway of their residence on Buckingham Place in Lynbrook. The value of the vehicle is $2,500.

Identity theft

 On March 24 at 9:40 a.m., the complainant reported that an unknown person(s) opened a Sprint cell phone account in their name. The charges are in the amount of $1,086.57.
At 6:35 p.m. on March 26, a complainant reported that an unknown person(s) made a charge on their Citibank MasterCard. The charge was in the amount of $138.96.

Petit larceny
On March 25 at 1:30 p.m., a complainant reported that an unknown person(s) removed a refrigerator from the rear yard of their residence on Trafalgar Square in Lynbrook. The value of the refrigerator is $1,000.
