Arrests
A 31-year-old of Kew Gardens, was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and unregistered motor vehicle on Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook on Oct. 12 at 9:43 a.m.
Oct. 12 at 10:05 a.m., a 46-year-old Hempstead man was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct (warrant) on Atlantic Avenue in Lynbrook.
At 2:06 a.m. on Oct. 13, 25-year-old Valley Stream man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and failing to maintain a lane on Atlantic Avenue in Lynbrook.
A 51 year-old Carle Place man was arrested and charged with a village code warrant for smoke alarms not maintained at Lynbrook Police Department Headquarters on Columbus Avenue at 11:56 a.m. on Oct. 16.

On Oct. 16 at 4:10 p.m., A 31-year-old Valley Stream man was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an auto accident at Lynbrook Police Department Headquarters on Columbus Avenue.

Petit larceny
At 9:40 a.m. on Oct. 12, it was reported that someone took a New York State handicapped parking permit from a car that was parked at Rite Aid, located at 633 Sunrise Hwy. in Lynbrook.
On Oct. 15 at 1:25 p.m., a complainant reported that an unknown person (s) took two gold rings from their residence on Charles Street in Lynbrook. The theft occurred between Aug. 27 and Oct. 15. The value of the rings are $800.

Identity theft
On Oct. 13 at 1 p.m., a complainant reported that someone made seven unauthorized purchases on their Discover credit card. The total amount of the charges is $1,359.91.

Petit larceny/criminal tampering
At noon on Oct. 14, a complainant reported that an unknown person(s) entered their 2008 Pontiac, which was parked in municipal parking field 17, and removed their NYS registration, NYS insurance card and knapsack from the vehicle. The unknown person(s) also removed the brake fluid cap, disconnected the coolant and vacuum hose, let air out of the rear tire and bent the rear license plate. The total amount of the items taken is $38. 25.

Grand larceny
On Oct. 15 at 11 a.m., a teacher at Lynbrook High School reported that an unknown person (s) removed their Dell laptop computer from a classroom closet. The theft occurred between July 19 and July 23. The computer is valued at $1,003.31.

Burglary
At 4:45 p.m. on Oct. 15, a complainant reported that someone entered their residence on St. Nicholas Street in Lynbrook and removed $160. The unknown person(s) entered the residence through and unlocked side door.
