Crime Watch: Lynbrook, East Rockaway

Arrests
At 7:20 p.m. on Oct. 20, a 56-year-old man of Long Beach, was arrested and charged with two open warrants for DWI, Disorderly Conduct and Consumption of Alcohol in Public on Station Plaza in Lynbrook.

A 23-year-old woman of Oceanside was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana at 9:15 p.m. on Oct. 8 on Winthrop Street in Lynbrook.

 At 9:15 p.m. on Oct. 8, a 24-year-old of Lynbrook, was arrested and charged with Criminal Sale of Marihuana and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana on Winthrop Street in Lynbrook.

On Oct. 11, two East Rockaway men, and two Valley Stream men were arrested and each charged with Assault for an incident that occurred at Mary MacNamara’s, located at 44 Stauderman Avenue in Lynbrook at 3:30 a.m.

A 36-year-old man of Lynbrook, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation and Equipment Violation on Peninsula Boulevard at 9:22 a.m. on Oct. 11.

At 7:45 p.m. on Oct. 11, a 38-year-old of Hempstead, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, Improper Lane Usage, and two counts of Driving While Intoxicated on Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook.

Criminal mischief

At 4:20 p.m. on Oct. 6, the controller of Human First Inc., located at 128 Atlantic Avenue, Lynbrook reported that front window of the building was damaged. The damage is $1,000.

Petit larceny
At 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 10, the manager of Rite Aid located at 400 Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook, reported that a male entered the store and did removed eight bottles of Johnson & Johnson baby body wash from the store. The value of the items was $35.92. The male is described as a white male, mid 30’s, five feet, eleven inches tall, bald, 185 lbs, medium build and light complexion. He was wearing black jeans, a dark gray “ecko” hooded sweatshirt and black and white sneakers.

A Garmin G.P.S. valued at $300 was reported stolen by the owner of an unlocked 2012 Volvo, parked in the driveway of their home on Cherry Lane in Lynbrook at 10:45 p.m. on Oct. 11.

At 5:00 p.m. on Oct. 11, the owner of Attraction Beauty Salon, located at 1702 Rockaway Avenue in Lynbrook, reported that $600 in assorted U.S. currency was stolen from their pocketbook.
