Arrests

A 32-year-old male of Uniondale was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operator, unlicensed driver and driving with defective brake lamps on Peninsula Boulevard on Dec. 28 at 7:45 a.m.

At 9 a.m. on Dec. 29, a 41-year-old male of Hempstead was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operator and unlicensed driver on Peninsula Boulevard.

On Jan. 3 at 6 p.m., a 35-year-old female of Uniondale was arrested and charged with unlicensed driver and leaving the scene of an accident, which occurred on Sept. 29 on Peninsula Boulevard.

A 17-year-old male of East Rockaway was arrested and charged with assault on Atlantic Avenue on Jan. 4 at 6:20 p.m.

A 48-year-old male of Lynbrook was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon, aggravated unlicensed operator and failure to signal a turn on Peninsula Boulevard on Jan. 6 at 10:40 p.m.

At 7:45 p.m. on Jan. 9, a 37-year-old of Uniondale was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operator, unlicensed driver and obstructed view on Peninsula Boulevard.

Thefts

A grey Infiniti Q50 was stolen from the Infiniti of Lynbrook Dealership on Sunrise Highway on Dec. 23 at 12:15 p.m. The total loss is approximately $25,000.

An HP laptop computer and printer, Ugg boots and sports memorabilia were stolen from a home on Atlantic Avenue. The occupant of the house made the discovery on Dec. 30 at 3 p.m. Total loss is approximately $3,200.

A pocketbook was stolen from a car parked outside of Rok Health & Fitness on Ocean Avenue on Jan. 2 sometime between 6:30 and 7:49 p.m.

A check was forged at Crown Ford on Merrick Avenue. The total loss was approximately $1,250.

Two security monitors were stolen from the basement of a building on Broadway. The goods were reported missing on Jan. 7 at 10:35 a.m. Total loss is approximately $4,000.

The owner of Beautiful Nails on Merrick Road reported that they received a phone call from a male claiming to be a representative of the PSE&G utility company who said that unless the owner paid an outstanding bill via a Green Dot money order, the company would shut off their electric immediately. According to Nassau County police, the salon owners were victims of a phone scam.

Found property

A white Acer laptop computer was found at the corners of Piccadilly Downs and Scranton Avenue on Dec. 30 at 11:50 a.m. The approximate value of the computer is $100.
