The Village of East Rockaway enjoyed sunny skies for its annual Memorial Day parade — while keeping the somber and solemn feel of the day.
Honoring its war dead, the parade winded its way through the village, ending at Memorial Park on Atlantic Avenue with veterans, clergy and officials making speeches to commemorate members of the armed forces.
