Posted

The Lynbrook High School Tri-M Music Honor Society presented the 15th Annual Cabaret Night on Jan. 22.

With creative lighting and colorful tablecloths, students transformed the school cafeteria into a cozy cabaret lounge, where the evening affair showcased the musical talents of dozens of high school students while raising money for local charities. Tri-M officers Michael Deegan and Gabriel Polinsky served as the emcees. The performers dazzled friends and families with two acts of musical numbers that represented a broad range of talents and tastes, including ballads, show tunes, classical instrumentals, dance and even some original compositions. The high school brass ensemble provided musical interludes between acts.

Cabaret Night, organized and planned entirely by Tri-M members every year, gives students the opportunity to show off a more personal side of their musical talents. Proceeds from the event were donated to the food pantries of St. Raymond’s Church in East Rockaway and Our Lady of Peace Church in Lynbrook.
