4th annual Timothy Motherway Memorial Scholarship Dart Tournament held in Commuter's Club
The 4th annual Timothy Motherway Memorial Scholarship Dart Tournament was held on Sat., Oct. 6 from 2 to 6 p.m.
At the Commuters Club in East Rockaway.
It was a filled with laughs, fun, and memories of Timothy Motherway, while playing the game he loved, to raise money for the scholarship fund in his name. Motherway, 35, was killed in an early-morning car accident on Atlantic Avenue in 2009.
There was plenty of food, drinks, music, raffles, games for the kids, and, or course, darts, with trophies going to the winners.
If you couldn’t make it to the tournament but would like to make a donation, a check can be mailed to: Peggy Motherway, 200 Atlantic Avenue, Apt. #128, Lynbrook, NY 11563. Checks can be made out to the Timothy J. Motherway Memorial Scholarship Fund.
With the generous donations from the last tournament, the family said that they were able to give two 2012 graduating East Rockaway seniors scholarships towards college.
