Robber flees on scooter in Lynbrook

Police are searching for an armed suspect who reportedly robbed The Barn on Hempstead Avenue in Lynbrook on Dec. 1.

According to Fifth Squad detectives, at 1:23 p.m., a male white suspect, in his twenties and wearing a black ski mask, black-hooded sweatshirt and tan pants, entered The Barn, at 241 Hempstead Tpke., armed with a handgun, and demanded money from the male victim who was working at the store. 

The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register before fleeing southbound on Hempstead Avenue on a Razor scooter.  No injuries were reported.
